All Our Worldly Goods review
Posted : 12 years, 6 months ago on 27 May 2012 12:32 (A review of All Our Worldly Goods)This was a moving story about love and courage which repeats down the generations. It was also about tradition and change and how holding on too tight often leads to loss.

Native Tongue review
Posted : 12 years, 6 months ago on 27 May 2012 12:30 (A review of Native Tongue)I enjoyed this off-beat book about crooked developers, bungling crooks, and amusement parks. I especially liked the way Kingsbury tried to outdo Disney World.

Household Gods review
Posted : 12 years, 6 months ago on 27 May 2012 12:27 (A review of Household Gods)I liked this book about a modern woman finding herself in a different time, but not because of the time travel. Rather, I liked the way Nicole has to confront her assumptions and how she finds the strength she needs in herself.

The Wednesday Letters review

Green Hills Of Earth review
Posted : 12 years, 6 months ago on 21 May 2012 06:27 (A review of Green Hills Of Earth)I enjoyed these short stories about the Earth and the Moon. Two of my favorites were "'It's Great to Be Back'" about a couple who learns where their home is, and "--We Also Walk Dogs" about a new kind of concierge company.

The Monster of Florence review
Posted : 12 years, 6 months ago on 18 May 2012 07:16 (A review of The Monster of Florence)This was a very good book about an elusive serial killer and about how a fixation on a particular theory and the importance of saving face can have serious consequences.
